Estos resultados se basan en ocho a\u00f1os de campa\u00f1as de monitorizaci\u00f3n ambiental e incluyen estudios complementarios que van m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de los requisitos regulatorios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Con un firme compromiso con la comprensi\u00f3n, monitorizaci\u00f3n y preservaci\u00f3n del ecosistema marino, este informe presenta un amplio conjunto de estudios ambientales realizados en todas las fases del proyecto y que contin\u00faan hasta la actualidad. Ha sido elaborado por la consultora independiente Blue Grid, con la valiosa contribuci\u00f3n de dos de las instituciones de investigaci\u00f3n m\u00e1s prestigiosas de Portugal: el MARE \u2013 Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Lisboa (MARE-ULisboa) y el Polit\u00e9cnico de Leiria (MARE-IPLeiria).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>El informe concluye que la variabilidad natural, tanto estacional como interanual, es el principal factor que modela las comunidades marinas en todos los niveles tr\u00f3ficos. Aunque se observaron diferencias espaciales entre el \u00e1rea de WindFloat Atlantic y las zonas de control \u2014especialmente en invertebrados nect\u00f3nicos-bent\u00f3nicos, como el pulpo, y en comunidades de peces como los elasmobranquios\u2014, la abundancia global fue mayor dentro del \u00e1rea del proyecto. Cabe destacar que los resultados indican que WindFloat Atlantic no ha alterado el funcionamiento del ecosistema. Por el contrario, la zona de exclusi\u00f3n pesquera y el efecto arrecife han generado claros beneficios ecol\u00f3gicos locales, actuando como refugio y \u00e1rea de alimentaci\u00f3n que favorece la protecci\u00f3n del h\u00e1bitat para la fauna submarina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En l\u00ednea con estos resultados, no se detectaron impactos negativos en niveles tr\u00f3ficos inferiores, como el fitoplancton y el zooplancton, mientras que se observaron efectos ecol\u00f3gicos positivos en niveles superiores, incluidos invertebrados y peces. En conjunto, los resultados evidencian un ecosistema din\u00e1mico impulsado por un fuerte efecto reserva derivado de la exclusi\u00f3n de navegaci\u00f3n y el efecto arrecife. Demuestran que los parques e\u00f3licos flotantes pueden actuar como importantes refugios ecol\u00f3gicos, apoyar la biodiversidad y proporcionar zonas de alimentaci\u00f3n para la vida marina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Como complemento a estos resultados, la monitorizaci\u00f3n ambiental integral de mam\u00edferos marinos, aves, murci\u00e9lagos y biodiversidad en general registr\u00f3 5 especies de mam\u00edferos marinos, 33 especies de aves, 3 especies de murci\u00e9lagos y 52 especies de peces en el \u00e1rea de WindFloat Atlantic. El emplazamiento se utiliza principalmente como ruta migratoria, observ\u00e1ndose un aumento en la actividad de delfines y marsopas durante la operaci\u00f3n. Aunque se identificaron algunas especies vulnerables y en peligro cr\u00edtico, no se detectaron impactos negativos significativos \u2014como colisiones de aves o asentamientos de murci\u00e9lagos\u2014. La diversidad de peces fue elevada, incluyendo especies de inter\u00e9s comercial y de conservaci\u00f3n, con algunas mostrando mayor abundancia dentro del \u00e1rea del proyecto.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teresa Simas, investigadora s\u00e9nior con amplia experiencia en el sector de energ\u00edas renovables offshore y directora ejecutiva de Blue Grid,<\/strong> afirm\u00f3:<br><em>\u201cEl programa de monitorizaci\u00f3n de biodiversidad de WindFloat Atlantic ofrece evidencia valiosa desde un parque e\u00f3lico offshore flotante, mostrando que el proyecto genera resultados medibles en t\u00e9rminos de servicios ecosist\u00e9micos \u2014incluido el aumento de la abundancia de peces e invertebrados gracias a los efectos arrecife y refugio\u2014 y destacando la importancia de una monitorizaci\u00f3n ambiental continua para apoyar el desarrollo responsable y la expansi\u00f3n de la tecnolog\u00eda e\u00f3lica flotante.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Lino Costa y Bernardo Quintella, investigadores s\u00e9nior de la Facultad de Ciencias de la Universidad de Lisboa (MARE),<\/strong> afirmaron:<br><em>\u201cLa monitorizaci\u00f3n de WindFloat Atlantic ha sido una excelente oportunidad para ampliar el conocimiento sobre el ecosistema marino del norte de Portugal y comprender mejor c\u00f3mo compatibilizar el desarrollo de parques e\u00f3licos flotantes con la conservaci\u00f3n de la biodiversidad y la actividad pesquera.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Catarina Rei, directora de Permitting and Environment en Ocean Winds, <\/strong>a\u00f1adi\u00f3:<br><em>\u201cLos resultados de WindFloat Atlantic aportan evidencia s\u00f3lida, basada en datos, de que la e\u00f3lica offshore flotante puede coexistir con la biodiversidad e incluso generar efectos ecol\u00f3gicos positivos a nivel local.
