In almost two years, the three turbines tied to the seabed by anchoring systems have already produced the equivalent of the electricity consumption of 100,000 people.
The Windfloat Atlantic project was a worldwide pioneer, and it was born from a partnership between Ocean Winds (EDP Renováveis and Engie), Repsol and Principle Power.
Access to turbines requires strict safety conditions and is conditioned by the state of the sea. The maintenance of the project meant that 1083 hours were worked on high seas, and of the 116 attempts to access the platforms, 28 had to be canceled because security could not guaranteed.
